I arrived on 14/4 was met by David a really nice guy who transferred me to my hotel. The following morning the pre Op procedure took about 1hour, and I was back in my hotel for breakfast.
My operation took place at 08,30 on the 16/4. The staff Leanne & Alex were on hand daily to answer any questions and were more than helpful, through the whole process. On discharge from the clinic they even took me to the Pharmacy for the medication. This whole process was top class and would highly recommend  it thank you Surgery Now. Roz was an absolute diamond she organized everything from helping us with paperwork , flights and accommodation, any questions we had she bent over backwards to help. Before we left Leanne made contact with us and had organized our airport pick up with David.  David drove us to the hotel and even checked us in. We were met by Alex at the hotel and she took us to the hospital. We then met Martina and they brought us to meet the surgeon. I had a CT scan and the results the next morning. 
My son’s surgery went great and the care we got was fantastic. My son has been on the list in Ireland for a few years and we were getting nowhere, this was the best decision we made. It was easy and fast, we were completely at ease in the hands of the fantastic team of Surgery Now, they were so professional, kind and caring. Hi all, I just want to post a glowing review in favour of absolutely everyone and anyone who has a connection with the SurgeryNow.ie team. 
I had 3 medical professionals in Ireland in agreement that the only treatment likely to help my back issue was surgery, yet I couldn’t get to see a public consultant in order to get on a list for surgery. So, I looked into surgery under the treatment abroad scheme. 
From the very first contact, (Lucy) it became clear these guys have a great system going. You will constantly feel supported and that they have the utmost interest in your care plan and recovery. 
Further to this, they are a very warm and funny bunch of people who are not afraid to have a bit of craic with you.  David collected me from the airport and from there the banter started. There was always reassurance that you were in good hands and that every person who helped you would be better than the previous one. Next, the lovely ladies, Leanne, Charlotte and Martina got the pre-op assessments up and running, the results of which were uploaded to an app before 5 pm the same day, a service absolutely alien to me. On the day of admission, you are welcomed to the hospital and checked over, this is where my surgeon shone taking the extra time to double check an issue by referring to my imaging. There would be no time pre-theatre in Ireland for the likes of this, and I am especially grateful to my doctor for saving me from a possible further surgery down the road. Post-op care was just as well managed as you are taken to and from your hotel by either David or Scott for all routine aftercare. The team goes above and beyond for you making you feel like you are in the company of family the whole time with everyone rooting for the best outcome for you! I can honestly say I will be singing the praises of these guys for a long time to come.
My intentions are not to slate the Irish medical and allied medical staff, they are hardworking people trying to do their job in an outdated system. As the Irish system is under so many restrictions and so understaffed, the staff don’t get a chance to showcase their talents and give the highest level of care that they put many hours of training to give. In comparison, a well-managed system here gives the professionals the opportunity to flourish and showcase their amazing skillset. It should be that way at home but Ireland is broken. The health system, the educational system, the policing system, the judiciary system and above all the political system . 
What we need to do is turn the system off and turn it back on again. 
But until we can get to that point let’s use the facilities we have available to us. If you require elective surgery, pick up the phone and contact surgerynow to avail of the treatment abroad scheme, I promise you will consider this to be one of the best decisions you will make in your life. I have just had a hernia repaired by surgery now and I couldn’t recommend them enough their service is so efficient and friendly ( at first I thought everything was too good to be true but I was proven very wrong )I haven’t a bad word to say about anyone or anything within the company, from transport to and from the airport and hospital for appointments and back to the hotel and the surgery and communication everything was just so perfect.

Appointments are quick and painless and you will have someone helping you every step of the way no matter how big or small your question or demands might be it is never an issue for surgery now they get it all done with ease.

The staff in the IMED hospital were fantastic very well mannered and well equipped to deal with any medical needs, extremely professional, they even arranged the private room around so my partner could sleep over night with me which I found to be such a lovely touch and very comforting.

I would absolutely recommend Surgery Now. 

I was diagnosed with a cyst on my liver and was told I would be waiting up to 18 months to have my surgery in Ireland. From first speaking to Surgery Now everything was so straightforward and no question was too much. They organised my surgery within 3/4 weeks of me first making contact. I travelled to IMED hospital in Benidorm and the treatment was next to none. Everyone on the Surgery Now team were so helpful you didn’t have to worry about anything, everything was organised for you from the moment you arrived. Transport from the airport, to any appointment etc. My surgery went really well and I was back home in Ireland a week after my surgery. I am now living pain free and healthy all thanks to the efficiency of this service. 10/10 would recommend to anyone considering this option you will not regret It.
