When you reach out to Surgery Now, you’re not entering a system you’re connecting with a team of real people who genuinely care. We know the idea of having surgery abroad can feel overwhelming, even scary. But you’re not doing it alone.

From the first phone call to your journey home and even after there’s a whole team here to guide, support, and reassure you. Here’s a look at the people who’ll be walking beside you every step of the way.

Keith – The First Voice You’ll Hear

Your journey often begins with Keith, and there’s a reason patients feel instantly reassured after speaking to him. He’s approachable, down-to-earth, and great at cutting through the confusion. No medical jargon just clear, honest answers.

Keith takes the time to listen and understand where you’re coming from. Whether you’re unsure if you qualify or nervous about the process, Keith helps you figure out what’s possible.

“From the first conversation, Keith put my mind at ease. He explained everything clearly and answered all my questions.”

Alex – Keeping Everything on Track

Once you’ve decided to go ahead, Alex steps in to organise the practical side of things. She’ll take care of everything from hospital bookings and flight timings to scans and appointment scheduling so you don’t have to juggle a thing.

Alex is incredibly detail-focused and always one step ahead. If something needs changing or a new question pops up, she’s on it quickly and calmly.

“Alex thought of everything before I even had to ask. She made the whole process feel easy.”

Scott – Your Irish Support in Spain

Scott is the first familiar face you’ll see when you arrive in Spain. Being Irish himself, he brings a sense of home with him offering comfort, warmth, and just the right amount of Irish humour to help you relax. He understands exactly what this journey means and is always there to make sure you feel supported.

From airport pickups to clinic visits, Scott takes care of all your transport. But it’s the way he checks in, takes time to chat, and genuinely cares that makes him such a standout. It’s easy to see why he’s such a favourite in so many of our patient stories.

“Scott made me feel totally cared for from the moment I landed. Nothing was ever too much trouble.”

Leanne – HSE Refund Support

Once you’re home and recovering, Leanne will help you with your HSE refund. She has worked with the system for 4 years and can guide you through the forms, receipts, and timelines without the stress.

She’s clear, thorough, and always on hand if you’re unsure about any part of the process.

“I would’ve been completely lost without Leanne. She made the refund process so simple.”

Trish – The Steady Hand Behind the Scenes

Trish is our business manager, and she’s often the quiet force making sure everything runs like clockwork. But she’s also there for patients offering guidance, reassurance, or just a friendly check-in if something’s on your mind.

She brings calm, experience, and a real sense of care to everything she does

“I always felt like someone had my back. Trish was just a message away whenever I needed support.”

And I’m Sammie – Behind the Posts and Patient Stories

If you found us through Facebook or Instagram, you’ve probably already seen my work. I’m Sammie, and I look after our social media, blogs, and newsletters.

I share real stories, useful info, and behind-the-scenes moments because I know how powerful it is to read about someone else who’s been where you are now. If something you read made you feel a bit more confident or informed that’s exactly why I do it.

“Reading the posts helped me realise I wasn’t alone. It gave me the confidence to go for it.”

You’ll be in safe, experienced hands with our trusted consultants who include: Dr. Hugo Marquina, Dr. David González, Dr. Ferrer, and Dr. Daniel Gómez.

Your treatment will take place in a clean, state-of-the-art Spanish hospitals or clinics with modern facilities and the latest equipment, English-speaking staff, and a supportive, welcoming environment.

“The hospital was spotless and so well organised. I felt completely safe and cared for throughout.”

No Waiting List? No Problem.

One of the biggest myths we hear is that you have to be on a waiting list in Ireland to qualify for surgery abroad.

You don’t.

You need either a GP referral letter or to be on a waiting list. If your GP agrees that you need a specialist consultation and/or treatment, and you meet any additional HSE criteria for your specific medical concern, you can travel even if you haven’t waited a single day.
